In this email there's a couple unrelated items I'd like to note.

The Scapegoat Pattern Watch

What I recently wrote about called The Scapegoat Pattern Watch may be happening. Here's an excerpt from that email.

"With that said, if there was a baptism just before the Pope left NYC in Shepherd One it may be that a pattern of Y'shua's baptism is being followed. After being baptized by John in the Jordan Y'shua went out into the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights. Then He was tempted by the devil. Then he went to Galilee and while there began to preach and gather disciples. Then miracles began to occur. It seems to me from reading the news written about Bill he has been having a bit of a wilderness experience. When Y'shua went into the wilderness he went on the high holy day Yom Kippur fulfilling the role of the scapegoat. (Leviticus 16) Bill has been willing to accept much of the blame for his wife's troubles on the campaign trail, which is what a scapegoat would do, in the common understanding. Counting 40 days from April 20 (Aviv 13) brings us up to May 29/30. If there's a sudden surge in the level of respect and consideration given Bill at that time or in days following I'll be paying real close attention to that situation! With regard to the Pope, if he's somehow seen to be "taken into custody" that will be noteworthy as well."

Having been out of favor in the media's eye it was a bit of a change to see Bill Clinton presented in a very favorable light on Friday May 30 as he joined someone who is in some ways his protege, Tony Blair. In NYC, the launch of Mr. Blair's effort called Tony Blair Faith Foundation was well attended by the media. (See Backed by Clinton, Blair launches Faith Foundation) According to this article, Blair "said he was inspired to create the Faith Foundation by the Clinton Global Initiative, which works on issues of poverty, climate change, health and education." It is that very work of inspiration that marked the beginning of this 859th Shemittah from Adam in fulfillment of what I believe is the covenant with many of Daniel 9:27. This event began on Yom Kippur, September 15, 2005. (See A Firm Covenant with the Many) Will this upward trend in favor for Bill continue? Will Tony pursue this religious tact and lend significant support to the Papal role of "False Prophet"? Watch and see!

With regard to the Pope, he has not been taken into custody in any way I have perceived. Yet, here's something I feel may be worth watching. I found it very interesting that a request was fielded by the Vatican for a personal meeting with the Pope that came from the Iranian President Ahmadinejad. (See Iranian President Ahmadinejad Requests Meeting With Pope) The two are both expected to attend the upcoming (June 3-5) United Nations summit in Rome. What could be Ahmadinejab's motive and agenda? If you consider who might dare to attempt something so outrageous as to take the Pope into custody a rather short list of characters comes to mind. Ahmadinejab would be near the top of the list, in my estimate, given the Vatican's official criticism of the President for his outspoken aggression towards Israel and considering his famous disregard for any authority outside Islam. Is he plotting to kidnap the Pope? I'm making no prediction here, but merely thinking through what kinds of events to watch for in this season that might help us interpret and understand our times.

Same-sex "marriage"?

Aside from the obvious matter of homosexuality being declared as a sin, (Romans 1, etc.) what is it that is really wrong with same-sex "marriage"? On a symbolic level, such a relationship completely eliminates one of the most important and intimate relationships in all of creation. The number one relationship is probably what is shared between the Heavenly Father and His son Y'shua, but the relationship between HaMashiach and His Bride must be the next most significant, as I understand the matter. It is that very relationship that is targeted for elimination in the matter of "same sex marriage." Although few people understand what I'm sharing here, the heart of the issue relates to the mystery presented in Ephesians 5.

These verses relate to what is written in verses 22-31. The man and his wife are symbols of Christ and his church. In this model where the unseen is presented through what is seen in the natural we recognize there is a distinction made in the matter of obedience, of subjection. Just as not all wives are subject to their husbands, in this same manner not all members of the church are subject to Christ. Those who are truly subject will some day soon be taken out of the body of Christ, who is the last Adam (1 Cor 15) in the same way a woman was taken out of the body of the first Adam. These will be the Bride of Christ, a people to be joined in a holy union with the Bridegroom. This is the great mystery. Not every saint will qualify for this honor because not every saint will meet the qualification.

With the understanding of this model and a knowledge of how important such a testimony is, as it is broadcast in the earth before men and angels, it is not difficult to see why Satan targets such a witness. The model of a marriage between a man and a woman speaks of Christ and His Church, and in the best of cases, of the Bridegroom and His Bride. It is that testimony that is erased when you consider the model presented in a union between two men or two women. Such a testimony has no such relationship in view as between Christ and His Bride. On a deep spiritual level, this is the root problem with the concept of a "same sex marriage." The Devil works to erase Christ, and to erase His Bride, and, he works to erase the relationship between them - even their symbols appointed to bear testimony in the earth. This work is an affront to you and I, who aspire to become joined to the heavenly Bridegroom and who understand the importance of the models appointed in the natural realm. It is an affront and attack against the Bridegroom and against his authority in the church. This attack is not as some suppose a matter of political freedom and personal rights. It is about truth and honoring the authority of Christ. It is about laying a plumb line in the earth.
