Introduction and Summary Overview of, When Cometh That Thief in the Night

This introduction and summary overview is offered to help you get a sense of the collection titled, When Cometh That Thief in the Night. It's a sketch of the way I've come to understand the chronology of the end of this age and how it's revealed.

In coming to such a presentation as this, you really have to be open to the possibility that the time of the Lord's coming is going to be known in advance. This study called, Will No One Know the Day?, lays this foundation. The time can and will be known in advance - and the Lord rightfully expects us to know.

Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

Revelation 3:3

Think this through. Will no one wake up? For those who do, what then? The verse is either nonsense or it implies something that, while contrary to popular teaching, leads to a conclusion that is beyond dispute.

There is an aspect of salvation involved, where gain or loss of the ultimate reward is at stake. Are you still waiting for the recognized authorities in the church to confirm these things to you? It's not going to happen until it's too late. One of the functions of the church leaders is actually to screen you out so that only the most precious few attain the highest prize. (Matthew 24:43) The Lord Himself has ordained that it should be so. If you find it comforting to be on the same page as mass numbers of others, you haven't really been giving what the Bible says about the numbers a serious enough consideration. If you generally accept as true what the masses do you should take that realization as an alarm.

Mainstream Christianity generally thinks in terms of end time events that happen within a particular seven year span, and there are actually good reasons for that. You'll discover that this is actually a Shemitah, one of the Shabbat cycles in a series that began counting off coincident with Creation itself!

When is that special Shemitah, exactly, and by what means has it been revealed?

The way the basic chronology is established is pretty straightforward. It's consistent with how the rest of the Lord's calendar works. Well, okay. Except where it isn't - because time has been tampered with by those who most desire to avoid judgement. A reset will correct this, and when it has been fixed this is how the schedule will be known.

The way the Lord's calendar works is that a pair of celestial signs must be observed every month. From then, you simply count off the days. Witnessess see the first crescent of the new moon, then the next month begins at sunset. The time when many of the holy days are to be celebrated are established in the same manner. Yom Kippur, for example, is the 10th day of the 7th month. The basis of the chronology of the end times is like that. A celestial sign has to be witnessed and then the count begins. The units are counted off until the target is reached. The difficult part about this is that the Lord hid the celestial sign and the units and the count! (Difficult? Actually - impossible to discover or know, except by the Lord's opening of the eye and ear. ) However, after these essential elements were revealed it appears as it is, a relatively simple matter that's easily understood! To be clear, this matter is still only revealed to a small number of individuals. To the vast majority, it's still completely hidden. Seeing, they see not, and hearing, they hear not. There will be no significant open revelation to the masses about His glorious plan until some time after these things have already unfolded.

The celestial sign and the units and the count are like the foundation of the house. Everything else is built on that, right where it is. We'll get to the house part, but let's start with the cornerstone, the celestial sign that allows us to synchronize with the Lord's time keeping system.

Jacob's Dying Words Prophesy the Celestial Sign of the Lord's Return in Judgement. In that study you'll discover how the language of Jacob's deathbed prophecy describes a brief span of time in connection with the return of the lion of the Tribe of Judah in judgement. I'm not going to tease you here. If the holy spirit hasn't already made this enticing you're probably in the wrong place. The celestial interpretation of Genesis 49:10 is very simply this: “Jupiter will not depart from Leo nor Mercury from between the feet until Y'shua comes in judgement.” The brief span of time involved two holy days in the Fall of 1991, one of which came to stand out as the pivotal day, Yom Teruah. Some validating evidence is found in the study linked above and much more in this one called, The Celestial Sign of Jacob's Dying Prophecy is Validated by Hidden Time Prophecies and Other Remarkable Signs. These other studies may be considered supplemental.

Knowing that there's a special Shemitah appointed for the main events is important and so is having our prophetic calendar calibrated properly but, unless you know how these two elements are related, which Shemitah is the appointed one remains a mystery. For 17 years I puzzled over this. By the Spring of 1994 I had learned enough to know that the celestial sign did not signal the start of the special week of years. I hoped it would be the next cycle, but no confirming insight came and by the Spring of 2001 it had become apparent that it was not to be. I had increasing hope for the next cycle but I received no revelation insight until the Spring of 2008, at the close of what you'll discover (as you read through, When Cometh That Thief in the Night) is the primary annual watch day. The revelation insight I had long sought finally came to me, but yet, it was bittersweet. The pattern that establishes the count that locks the target Shemitah to the calendar by way of the celestial sign was hidden in the scriptures, of course, as set forth in, The Keystone Pattern - Three Things Then the Fourth! You count off three Shemitah, then the fourth is it!

Now knowing the celestial sign and the units and the count, it's a simple matter to identify the target Shemitah as the one that began in 2012. Even with the prophetic schedule having been derailed, signs were witnessed and documented. After time has been reset in the past, the things signified will be manifest.

This graphic is the primary chart. Right. It's pretty simple. The extended chart below right adds a little more detail.

What you've read so far may seem pretty dry, yet, the revelation insight that attends these discoveries is far from it. The opening of the scroll, which is to say, the grant of insight to see with the seeing eye and hear with the hearing ear, gives access to the Bible's vibrant stories that are alive on a vastly more profound level! Core truths regarding salvation and resurrection are able to be recognized with brilliant clarity as they have been layered allegorically in the accounts of history.

Controversial issues like rapture theories are resolved when the identity of the Bride is able to be rightly discerned, and what happens when the Bridegroom steals her away. Inherent in that revelation is the key insight into the dynamics of her role in the interplay between the Jew and Gentile, and the dynamics of a sign meant for her that is the revealing of The Antichrist.

Included in the collection of studies associated with, When Cometh That Thief in the Night, are some that may be considered as foundational or complementary, supporting the other material.

This material isn't rocket surgery or brain science, but Einstein had a useful observation that might help in your approach to this material. The bottom line essential is to practice obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ, Y'shua haMachiach, in humble subjection.

9 He replied, "Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

Daniel 12:9-10

11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12 instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
